I have been hearing raves about this Ilocos empanada from friends over at Facebook. So when hubby asked me if I want some empanada last night, I accepted the offer. We went to their Visayas Avenue branch. And oh my! This fried treat is sinfully delicious! It got me so hooked I was able to finish 1 and 1/2 last night and another whole piece for my afternoon snacks today!
You should give it a try. I bet, you will get hooked also! The crunchiness of the bread, the rice-like texture of the monggo sprouts, the egg, the meat, all of these, I can still taste them! I can have another two tomorrow and never get tired of it. It is sinfully delicious, sinful because it is fried. LOL
yes, they’re really good. i’ve tried both vigan empanada and laoag empanada in .. where else? in vigan and laoag! i prefer the vigan empanada.
