When I am tired of eating bread as my breakfast, I wait for the kakainin vendor to roam around the village carrying his puto and kuchinta. The kuchinta that Kuya sells is the first that I tasted that was topped with Dulce de Leche. Then as we visited my mom in the south, I noticed that it was the new trend as their Manong does the same thing.

When we buy kuchinta, we skip the niyog and just ask for more Dulce de Leche, which we happily get. However, it has been months since I have not seen the kuchinta vendor. I asked the taho vendor if he happens to see the guy. According to him, kuchinta man is currently working (office job probably) and he stopped selling delicious kuchinta with Deulce de Leche.
When will I ever be able to eat kuchinta again?

I am an avid juice drinker, but we use the powder version all the time. When I was single, I love having a glass of juice during breakfast. But I married a man who’s mom has diabetes so we rarely have a juice here at home. Then months ago, I was sent these three bottles of Sunkist Orange Juice Drink to try. I was out when it came. As soon as my eldest child saw it, she started asking for a glass. She had to wait because I chilled it first.
Since we are not into juice drinks like this, the experience was different. There are orange pulps that touch our tongue as we gulp the juice in. I tried catching some pulp to see how they look. They are actually big and has juice in it. The bottle has many of them, mostly at the bottom but when you shake it, the pulps go well with the juice. And the over-all taste of the juice, just right for me. It is not too sweet like some concentrated drinks nor too tangy.
Will I buy this Sunkist Orange Juice Drink? I give it a yes.
Philippines is probably one of the countries rich in marine life, being surrounded with water. This is also the reason why many men in the provinces do fishing for a living.
I am not someone who grew up near the sea but I ate fish a lot, though the kind of fish that we ate was very limited. Only when my mom worked in Samar, Leyte, the variety of fish that we ate grew. When she comes home for a short visit or work, she sees to it that she brings us fresh seafood. That sort of became her indulgent since those are pricey here in the metro.
My favorite fish is Tilapia. I like it big. My favorite way of cooking this is frying until the skin is crisp. I love fried Tilapia with any vegetable. Actually, I dubbed that as my happy food. I also like it with coconut milk or even just steamed.
Galunggong or Macarel Scad is not actually my favorite but I eat it. I like it fried, in coconut milk, or in ginger and vinegar.
Aside from these, I also like eating Dinaing na Bangus (Milk Fish). I only eat Bangus when it is dinaing or relleno.
Other fish variety that I have tried and enjoyed were Matang Baka, Salmon, and Yellow Fin to name a few.
I am open to trying other varieties from http://www.caviargalore.com/belugacaviar.html if given a chance.
